Hi dear all,
My husband just had a follow-up appointment with oncologist last week.CT scan shows everything is still normal except the hernia. We are very happy with the results.
I was very nervous because the oncologist ordered a CT scan. The reason he ordered a CT scan is because cea is not a good marker for my husband since it has never evaluated, and last CT scan was 6 months ago.The oncologist wants to be very cautious,we can't be against that.
Atucally my husband has a new oncologist now, because last oncologist took another postition somewhere else.We like this new oncologist. He is very patient, and willing to spend time with patients. We went through each single word on the CT scan report together. He asked my husband many questions and also answered questions from us.I am very impressed.
Anyway, things are so far so good. For the ones who don't know us,here is a little history:my husband got diagnosed with stage 2 rectal cancer in May 2009,preoperative chemo and radiation, surgery in Sep 2009,adjuvant chemo finished in April 2010.
Thank you for listening.Love to all of you.
