Kindred spirits,

what a busy week it has been. But I am so proud of myself. I did something
good for myself every day this week (yoga, walk, gym) and best of all I am
not wiped out!!!! YAHOOOO I feel like I am in LOVE, in love with life! And if
you think this great wait till I am on the east coast and had my first walk
in the city and my first walk on the beach! I think I will just break out and
cry tears of joy! Might I add, shamelessly.

Oh, about the dirty man.. hahaa. I was at an amazing dance. And so far at every
venue I went to, I was overdressed. So I took it down a notch today and wouldn't
you know it EVERYONE was dressed to the t's. I was just feeling a little out of
place, when a group of older couples squeezed by us to get to their seats. And
this old man, who by the way was holding his wife's hand. Let's go of her hand
comes back to me, now he only came to about my shoulders. He squeezes my
hand and motions me to bent down... so I do. And he whispers in my ear,
You know you have great legs, now if I was a couple years younger I'd swoop
you off your feet!.. Can you imagine my surprise??? I had to laugh so hard..
And he winked at me from aside his wife. The audacity of him and his lust for
life just made laugh and I felt thankful because he made me realize underneath
those fancy clothes he still was a charming dirty old man and I felt less conscious
about being under dressed.

Hugs,
Ayse

    Ayse,
    I was sure the ditry

    Ayse,
I was sure the ditry old man you were referring to could have been my dad, until I saw that everyone was dressed up. My dad's idea of dressing up is wearing jeans instead of his sweat pants! Love the story!

    Cute Story
I like this.It happened to me.Not quite a old man saying anything about my legs though!!! LOL.

I was busy filling out paperwork for a fundraiser. Two of us were side by side.I was waiting on a couple and the other lady was waiting on a elderly couple.I would say 80's. I just happened to look over and that old man just smiled real big and waved his little hand. I waved and smiled back.It was just the moment like you had.I'm not sure how long he had been staring.

Went shopping last night. As I was walking a girl about 10 looked and me and smiled.I smiled back. She then looks at me from head to toe.My hair to my feet. I must have some glow I don't realize I have but this happens to me alot.Even at the store I get ladies to start talking to me.Elderly sweet ladies. At check out, in aisles etc.

I got a big kick out of a elderly man once.He called to ask me some questions about his dog.I work with animal welfare.Later we met.He asked "who did I talk to on the phone".I said ME.He said you were so helpful. I feel like I've known you all my life.LOL

I wonder if the old man's wife heard what her husband said to you.If she did she probably didn't care.To old to care.

Like the other Kindred Spirits .. I loved
this story .. LOL .. Oh, what trouble you will be getting into when you move back home! You may need to an attorney, or two on speed dial. The fun you will be having ...couldn't happen to a nicer WARRIOR!

Maybe his wife is used to
her hubby flirting with beautiful women.

Reminds me of that 'ol guy who used to come out in "Laugh In". Him and Ruth Buzzy in the park bench...LOL!

    Ayse,
Great story! I'm glad you got a great big laugh out of it. Laughter is wonderful - so is the appreciative glance of (even a dirty) old man!

    SUCH flattery..
Chen, Renee...you guys are too much. I am a chunky-model.. LOL

You know it's the small things that make me laugh. It was just so
unexpected with everyone on their high horse and at their best
    behavior.

    great story
What a great story, Ayse! It brought a smile to my face.

And the mention of a dirty old man does remind me of Laugh-In from the 60's - sitting on the park bench and making suggestive comments to Ruth Buzzi with that hairnet.
