CT results!

Went today to get my CT scan results from last week and they came back clean

of course I knew they would! Next thing they want to do is test my thyroid to make sure it's functioning right since I'm oh so very tired all the time lol. Anywho nothing exciting, just thought I would share!

That Thyroid!
Finished radiation August 2010. In about March 2011, I became suddenly fatigued and very seriously constipated. My thyroid has been low, and I've just started on levothyroxine. Been on the hormone replacement for only 3 days, so it is too early to tell if it will make a difference.

Hope they find what's wrong with you and with me, and with anyone on this board. Don't get me wrong, my medical team has done a great job and I'm grateful for their efforts. But everything seems a struggle, doesn't it?

congrats on the clean scan! Hope the thyroid is OK - doc wrote the thyroid presecription for me after my last appointment - oh well.

If that can't get you excited then there really must be something going on with your thyroid dear girl, cause it sure excites the rest of us to hear the good news! Cheers

Synthroid
If you have a BP cuff, keep an eye on your pulse and blood pressure....

They had tried to start me on synthroid as my TSH levels are high. But as of now I guess I'm not at the level that my body tolerates it.

Yes it did make me have more energy, but because my metabolism was really speeding.

My pulse jumped from low 70's to nearly 100. BP went from around 134/80 to 165/95....

But it did lower my TSH from 6.0+ to 2.34...

LOL, I'll need to eventually go on something, just not quite there yet.

Another Clean Scan
Hi, Kristyn. I agree with the others about this news. It is indeed exciting to hear of another clean scan. Congratulations! It is a nice, sunny day here in Michigan, my pain level is down today, and now I hear of another clean scan. Sounds like a good day to me. Good luck on the thyroid test.
