Biopsy Results Came In
It was a blow to the gut plus I had to wait like 10 days for the procedure.
I had the procedure a week ago today and my doctor said afterward that it looked benign but official results would take a few days.
Yesterday came and I still hadn't heard anything. I started to freak out and had to keep leaning on the Lord for strength. I felt like I have aged 5 years since the 11th.
Finally this morning just as I was stepping out of the shower my doctor called and said the biopsy results were negative-all clear-no sign of cancer.
I don't often become overcome with emotion but I sure did this morning!
It took NED a little longer to show up than I had liked but I like to think that I learned a little lesson along the way.
I was reminded of how much waiting sucks and I'm determined to be more empathetic for those who are playing the waiting game.
Well the one year anniversary is a big one I guess so I am just going to enjoy the moment and hug the heck out of my family tonight!
Thanks for all the prayers are thoughts, you all are the best.

I have goosebumps! Seriously. That is great news and such a relief. I'm very happy for you.0 -
Awesome Joel
Glad that everything turned out to be good....
I know waiting stinks and can't stand it. Usually as for the scans PET/CT, I ask for them to hold a desk copy for me...usually it's available in 24 hours.
So far everything has been good, hoping it stays that way.
But, it's always an intense moment full of anxiety until I open and read the results.
Best,

Good Results
Hey, Joel. That is really terrific news. Most of us here know the agony of waiting and absolute joy of that 'all clear' announcement. I remember crying in my wife's arms for quite a while when I got my first 'all clear' Enjoy the moment and may many, many more of those great announcements be headed your way.
