just a little e-mail my mom sent me that made me smile. hope it makes you smile too:

Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror,
And noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
And saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'
So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
That she had only one hair on her head.

'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail.'
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and
Noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!'

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary,

For everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply,

Love generously,

Care deeply,

Speak kindly,

And pray continually.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

It's about learning to dance in the rain.

    Oh, Sunshine--that is marvelous
I truly agree--attitude is everything. Every once in a while, when I start feeling sorry for myself or think "I can't do this" I try to pick myself up, give myself a swat and think, "Knock it off--just do it and be so, so happy you're here"!

    Thanks for the reminder.

    Love it!
As I look in the mirror at my 5 months post chemo hair (or lack of) I smiled reading this. Attitude is everything. My hair is only 1/2" at best and is white/grey. After coloring my hair for more than 20 years I look strange even to myself. Thanks for sharing the poem.

    always enjoy reading this
I've seen it several times but it took on new meaning with chemo! I'm sure it does for others too. The one thing I could say was there were no more bad hair days, at least not when there was no hair. My biggest decision was which hat to wear.
