Mammograms after mastectomy

As far as I know - the side
As far as I know - the side that has the mastectomy cannot be mammo'd (there is nothing left there) but the remaining side is doable. At least that's how it was for me. I had a Mammo last Aug (1 yr post DX) and will be having another in June (so we can get 'everything' back on my birth month for my annuals). IF there is something suspicious in the surgery side then a scan can check it.
At least how i understand it.

I had a double mastectomy eight weeks ago and from my understanding I won't need mammograms anymore. I am choosing implants, so I will have periodic chest MRI's to check for implant leakage and suspicious cells. So I'm with Susan... they must be just wanting to do your Non-surgical side.0 -
