Welcome
Welcome to the board we never wanted to be on. This is a good place to come to as questions and vent. My husbamd passed away from colon cancer after a six year battle, so I have experience much of what you will go through. I know it's pretty scary. I also know that there are many new protocols and treatments every day. Take good care of your husband and don't forget to care for yourself, too. I hope the chemo begins to shrink the tumors in the liver. My husband started with too many in the liver for surgery, but after chemo he was able to have the liver surgery. There is no doubt in my mind that it allowed us to buy more time. Hugs, Fay0 -

My mom had a pretty similar
My mom had a pretty similar experience. They watch blood count to determine what chemo at what dose. Plus if it gets to low they'll just give him a transfusion, don't worry its not out of the norm. Also try getting a copy of all his blood work and learn what it all means and most times u can find foods that raise or lower certin protins as nesacery. Be proactive with his drs and learn some of the lingo they use. I had some of their home numbers even, . And don't be afraid to ask them ANYTHING.or for a second opinion _____take care0
