Hi Graci,
I know how sad it can be to not be able to grow things...especially if our past has been full of nature's bounty. But don't let diminished circumstances shut you away from nature! Just grow and nurture nature on a smaller scale.
Yes, put out a flower pot!!! Think about rail-hanging pots or a window-box perhaps? Also, I have made some lovely hummingbird feeders that use a hot-glue gun, small vitamin bottle, a drinking straw, a metal clothes hangar and a few bits of fabric flowers to create feeders that can be suction-cupped to a window or hung anywhere. I feed them watered-down agave nectar which I already have for my own consumption, so there's no special sugar to purchase for the birds0 -

is the coolest story i have ever heard about the humming bird.i have one i keep out by my bedroom window but it is also not far from our front porch.when i sit in my rocking chair on the porch those little birds come flying thru like a torpedo and sometimes it feels like they are coming right at you.but they are oh so pretty.just try to take one day at a time(i know easier said than done)...Godbless..johnnybegood0
