Hello to all the new members on the site and welcome. I just thought it was time to remind any new members that we have a very active and supportive chatroom on this site with caring people who know what you are going through because we all have been there before. We understand and are validating in how you feel at whatever stage you are at when cancer comes into your lives, either as a caregiver or cancer patient/survivor.

No questions or feelings are considered silly or stupid when it comes to experiences you might have at whatever stage you are at so please come through and give the chatroom a try. Some chatrooms have bad reputations on the internet but normally this is a very clean, welcoming, informed, and supportive site. If there is ever anyone in the chatroom who is disruptive or unkind the administration of the site is quick to deal with the offender. You do not have to go through the cancer journey alone, this site is here for you and the chatroom is a big part of that support.

If you come into the chatroom and no one is there just wait a few moments and usually someone will be along shortly.

Hope to see you all in chat soon. You access the chatroom by clicking on CHATROOMS right where you clicked on DISCUSSION BOARDS on the site's homepage.

    Hello Angela and welcome. Most people go onto the chat room late mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Just keep trying...you will find someone there soon! See you on chat :)

    having the toughest time
    getting on chat...I think there is something wrong with my service because I can't seem to ever get on. But I will continue trying.

    can't get into chat, either
    I've tried a few times and all I get is a message to write the webmaster with any problems. I haven't heard back from the webmaster. I'm using Google Chrome as a browser, which seems to work well elsewhere.

    Any hints? Thanks.

    Having trouble getting into chat? Try this.
    At the bottom of this page is a 'Feedback' heading and if you click on that you can walk through the form to fill out and it will give you an option for chat/technical. Click on that and report the trouble you are having and make sure you include your email address for feedback. Sometimes the server is down for the site and other glitches can happen. I have reported to the Webmaster and only once did I get a response so try Feedback.

    There is a lady by the name of Greta who works in administration for this site so try the administration area of this site too and put in your Re: Help Please Greta and she will follow up.

    Hope the issues getting into chat resolve for you both, it can be very helpful.

    chat troubles
    Thanks to everyone who has reported difficulties with chat. There are a number of issues being addressed currently. I appreciate your patience while they are being resolved.

    another thought...
    Make sure the latest version of Java is running on your computer to access chat. You can find out very easily and free of charge at http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml.
