I am so sorry to hear this. He was much too young for this to happen. I lost my brother-in-law to esoph. cancer last year.. he too was way too young, only 58 when he passed. I know firsthand how cruel and unfair this disease it. My thoughts and prayer are with you. I hope you can find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Me too. I am looking through
Me too. I am looking through some old pictures of him and I know Im going to miss him. I had such a great relationship with my dad. I put on hold graduate school just so I could drive him to work every day for the last two years. I would have done alot of things for my dad. He was very well known NYC. There will probably be 1000 people at his funeral on monday.

For about two years I was
For about two years I was utterly miserable because I took underemployment and unemployment in this economy to work where I did and live where I was living to help out my dad. He kept on working even with Stage 4 cancer and all of his colleagues were absolutely amazed. Part of the reason why he was still working was because I was driving him in to work everyday.

The most amazing thing I ever did was:

I told my dad to write me and my sister letters only to be opened after he dies. He handwrote them. I haven't read my letter yet, but I know when I do that I will remember him and frame this letter and keep it for as long as I can.

    WELL SAID WILLIAM
I couldn't have even come close to saying it as well as William, Jonathan, but you are truly heavy on my heart this evening. I want you to know I am lifting you and your family up in prayer. I cannot even imagine all you have been through and will be facing. It sounds like your father was a very special man. He is proud of the son you have become.

    Sorry for your lose
    Jonathan,
Putting your life on hold to help your dad is a show of respect beyond words. I’m sure he was very proud of you. My two college aged children have meant the world to me fighting this disease, it is because of them I found the strength to fight on as I’m sure it was the same for your dad. I lost my father March 22 2000 and there is never a day I don’t think of him but the thoughts are always of happiness never of sadness. I know it’s hard to believe now but as time goes on I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.
    Take care,
    Joel
