Today I started treatment 2 of 6 Taxol/Cisplatin IV / IP and I was worried about my blood results and my first CA 125 post chemo. The bloods were excelent and the CA 125 went down from 24 before started chemo to 11. I was dx with CA 125 very high levels 3,3000, it went down to 180 after surgery than 24 and now 11. Tomorrow the awful Cisplatin IP. First time it was painfull and put my brain in a cloud. I was out for 5 days. I hope this time to be easier.

Wish you all only good news!

    treatments
Those are wonderful results. It'll be worth everything to score those kind of numbers. I've had many different kinds of chemos, but I'm being switched to cisplatin for the first time my next treatment. Believe it or not ... you kind of get used to the routine of being out for five days and pulling yourself back up to get ready for the next round. I prepare by stocking up at the grocery/health and beauty store/library and netflix and become a couch slug for the next five days. You learn that you just have to give in to the brain cloud and fatique. Oh/ drink lots of water!

    Great
Those are great nos. Hang in there. I think Maria's idea of stocking up on groceries, toiletries and laying in a supply of fav movies and some good books is great.

    IP Cisplatin
    Dear Colleen

If the chemo is kicking your behind, just imagine what it is doing to the cancer!

If you would ever consider seeing an osteopath for "abdominal rehab" when IP chemo is done, I have a feeling that it would be most beneficial to you to keep the abdominal adhesions "loose."

    take care and be well,

    Carolen
