Giving myself a new look

I have ordered one last wig - I hope. This one is different than the others. I have 3 - one human hair and 2 synthetic - that are almost identical. This one, though still short (I no longer have the patience for long hair), is a new look.

I will post a new pic when it arrives.

    I have two human hair wigs which my insurance paid for, but I maxed out on wigs with them. They are both straight and long. Now that my hair is back and I don't intend to wear it long again, I wish I had gotten a short one. If I lose my hair again, it will be very clear that I'm wearing a wig to anyone who has seen me before.

    Carlene, your wig is so cute on you as it is ;-) But it is always fun to get a new look. I had scheduled fitting for my new wig last Saturday, but as I had posted I had a mishap that sent me sliding face first across the sidewalk. Instead of the fitting for my new wig, I was fitting for new glasses. So by next week I will have a brand new wig and a cute pair of purple glasses to show off lol!

    Its quite exciting having a new wig. I now have 3 and I love wearing them to work on alternate days. My students do a double take (they didn't know I am on chemo) and one even said "Ooh you have had your hair cut" (when I went from a short black one to a pale brown bob) So Im told them :)

    It is nice to be able to swap and change and dress it up with scarfs and things. Enjoy your new look

    Linda....you are my new best
    Linda....you are my new best friend. I turned 64 last Christmas. The photo is about 8 months old.

    I am not brave like Tina.
    I am not brave like Tina. It's very dark brown with silver streaks around the face. Kind of 1980 Liz Taylor. The wig in the pic is actually a medium brown. It looks darker on the Net.

    Do you know I love my blue wig (Its actually my daughters) We were at a party and it is a fun wig - very cheap. I would wear it again but my daughter has it. However my wig at the party was blonde so I will swap my profile picture so you can all see it.

    My husband gets quite concerned about me wearing different wigs to go to work or to go out with our friends. He will say "People will know it is a wig" My answer is "Yes, I have nothing to be ashamed of" I have cancer and I have lost my hair ................ why try to hide the fact? Sometimes I think my wigs are a badge of honor as this is me now.
