Curious to know how many of you got Chemo though lymph nodes were Neg.
Hope you're ALL doing well.

I had chemo although Stage I, no lymph node involvement. My OncotypeDX was right in the 'gray area' and I opted to do chemo.0 -

I was just told last Friday
I was just told last Friday because my oncotype score came back in the intermediate range I will be getting chemo. I am also premenopausal and had a grade 3 tumor, so he strongly advises it. I'll be starting within the next 3 to 4 weeks.

It was my choice to do chemojoannstar said:I had chemo
although I'm stage 1, 0/4 nodes because I'm triple negative, so I had aggressive treatment: 6 rounds of chemo & 33 rads.
All done now!! It is all doable, not a lot of fun, but I'd do it again if I had to.
Good Luck,
JoAnn
Stage 1, ER+/PR+/HER2-, teeny tiny tumors, negative nodes. Didn't have the Oncotype test, because I'd already decided I wanted to do chemo, to hit it with everything I could, so I wouldn't have any regrets later.
Even though chemo was probably the most difficult thing I've ever done, I know I made the right decision for me, and I sleep better at night knowing that I did it.

I was IDC Stage 1, Grade 2, ER+/PR+/Her-2 neg. 2 nodes removed, both negative. Had chemo because my oncotype score was 31.

I had 19 lymph nodes removed
I had 19 lymph nodes removed all negative, and still had chemo/tamoxifen, and a mastectomy. I had been on large doses of Hormone Replacement Therapy, both preceding and proceeding a hysterectomy with no family history of BC, so my onc felt it prudent to do this! Gave me 8 1/2 years of cancer free living.0 -

I had chemo even though my nodes tested negative. A few reasons were I'm the 5th in my family with bc and opted for bilateral mastectomy. 2nd and most important my tumor was 6.1 cm and was Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. My other breast had Lobular Carcinoma in Situ and I want to get rid of any risk of cancer returning. I had 6 rounds of Taxotere/Cytoxan and 28 rad treatments. For now there is no evidence of cancer. One of my sisters had DCIS twice and only had rads. My other sister had lumpectomy, chemo & rads because she had 7 positive lymph nodes.

I love your attitude Traci. That was how I felt too, but I wasn't given any choice ;-)0 -

I had double mastectomy, was node negative, and Stage 1 and I still got chemo. No regrets.

Stage 2 IDC, ER weakly
Stage 2 IDC, ER weakly positive, PR and Her2 negative. I had a bilateral mastectomy and 6 rounds of chemotherapy. I never got an oncotype score from my oncologist, but he did say that they almost automatically give a woman my age (34 at diagnosis) chemotherapy regardless of stage. I would have chosen it, were I given the choice, to fight it with all I had.
