Should We pull Away When Our News Is Good?
Should we pull away when our news is good? We are torn on this subject, because we do not want to post when others are not doing well. Thank-You, Paula

I really want to hear good
I really want to hear good news! I like to know as much as possible, so I also want the bad news, even though it freaks me out much of the time. The good news is the other side of the coin, and it helps me keep some balance when thinking about the future.0 -

Heavens, NO!!! We need the good news! It's what keeps us from driving off a bridge. The stats are so dismal, we live for stories of "no recurrence" or "fantastic response to treatment", especially from late stage survivors. Everyone kid of expects Stage I and II to do well for years and years, but when Stage III or IV women post that they've been "NED for five years", we want to print it out and make it into a shirt or something, so we can wear it next to our heart, 24/7.

I want to hear it all! I love to hear good news, it gives us all hope , I also want to hear the reality of bad news. This board has helped me so much , if I hadn't have joined this group , I wouldn't know what to expect. I think it would have sent me over the edge by now!!!!!
When mum had her first meeting with the consultant , I was in absolute bits in the room , crying sobbing, not good! It is not good for my mum or me to feel like that , I can hold it together now for her , ask the right questions and have some idea of what the consultant is talking about when he mentions this drug or that drug and all the other different terminology that comes with cancer.
Once again thank you for all sharing your experiences " the good the bad and the ugly!!!!"

It gives hope and besides I am genuinely thrilled when one of the teal sisters has good news.

There might be speculation about your condition unless you keep us informed--we want to share in the joy of your success. Around here, no news is not necessarily good news.0 -
