Anyone just starting out and not yet treated this would be a great clinical trial to get involved in and potentially increase your chance of survival. It's called, :IT-MATTERS phase III Global Clinical trial for head and Neck cancer". 1-703-506-9460 or www.cel-sci.com or visit clinical trials.gov NCT number NCT01265. It's featured in this months SPOHNC news letter and I thought that someone comming here as they often do prior to treatment would greatly benefit from such a trial. This would be a Godsend for someone without insurance. If you have just been diagnosed and not yet started treatment please avail yourself of the oppurtunity.
The goal of the study is to show that a leukocyte Interleukin Injection plus standard treatment increases survival. The injection is given before any cancer therapy to stimulate your own immune system to fight the cancer.
This a fully approved clinical trial so please if you have just been diagnosed at least make the phone call and see if they are in your area and how it can benefit you. Just passing the info along and hope someone avails themselves from the post. This would be a lot for a newcommer to comprehend but it's worth investigating if things fall into place for your particular circumstances.
