Nasopharyngeal Cancer Stage IVC

My husband has had Chemo (4 Chemo with Cisplation, Taxotere, and 5FU) and then Chemoradiation (35 radiation, 4 Carboplatin) which he finished in February. He had a PET Scan before Chemoradiation began which showed NED. He had mets to liver with a lesion in each lobe. Wondering if anyone has been in remission after Chemo only, if so how long? Also if liver mets was present, was any treatment done? He will have a repeat PET in 2 weeks. It's hard not to worry since this cancer had spread to the lymph nodes and liver at diagnosis. Thanks for any information!

    Hello
Wow - PET showed NED after induction chemo? Great. I did induction chemo, too, but cancer was only beat down, not wiped out before chemo rads. I don't blame you - there's no reason to worry before the next round of tests, but I would worry if it were my hubby. Please let us know how the PET comes back.

    Thanks, I sure will. Just
Thanks, I sure will. Just hard not to feel anxious as we have been told this cancer tends to "repopulate" quickly. Good to hear how others are doing. I hope you are doing well.
