Hi family! So, I've got some good news .... some rays of sunshine in my little corner. I am so happy to report the results of my onc visit.
First, my brain scan came back as normal (ha! I'm going to use this to my advantage ... being declared normal by the professionals). Nothing abnormal appearing on the brain scans means just what I suspected ... my balance problems are left over side effects from the FOLFOX. The onc didn't think so but, the nurses said that they have heard the complaint from others.
And, My liver scan showed no lesions in the liver. woo hoo ... that's more good news ...
Also, best of all, I think is that since stopping chemo 9 weeks ago ... my CEA has gone down by half! YAY. All it wanted to do was go up and now it's down to only 7.75!!!!
Now I have to get my insurance reinstated so that I can get the colonoscopy so we can track down the new colon tumor that showed up on the CT scan last month and see what sort of surgery the team wants to do. With some luck it will be hernia repair and reversal. Fingers crossed.
I am so happy to finally have some of this good news to share.
