I finished my post op chemo Monday 3/21 and am very grateful to my collegues at work for having my back for the last year while I was treated (burnt) operated and chemo'd. So I decided to treat them to dinner tonight at one of the best steak houses in Boston. So six of us are heading out for dinner this evening and I expect to have alot of laughs and because Cancer made me an emotional wreck I would expect I will also shed a few tears of gratitude.

Friday here is beautiful!
After 2 days of gale force winds (knocked down fences and some trees in the neighborhood) it was pretty calm and almost 70! I went for my first mnt bike ride since the re-section in Feb and it was amazing! Saw a crane and 3 deer in the open space by my house. How much better can it get than that! Riding tomorrow, and then church!0 -

Yes! Puerto Rico!
So glad you asked! I am flying to Puerto Rico tomorrow! I am SOO excited. It will be part work, part play. I'm still on chemo (Xeliri plus Avastin) but my onc let me postpone my next treatment for one week. And I'm still feeling a few side effects from the 3 weeks of radiation I had. But, heck -- I'd rather feel a little lousy sitting under a palm tree! Did I mention how excited I am?!?
Love to all
Tara
ps my oncologist said "postponing your treatment by one week will not affect your disease status -- but this holiday will have a huge positive effect on your quality of life". What a good man....
I should add I am carrying enough drugs with me (prescription, that is) to open a small pharmacy in Puerto Rico -- I am prepared for anything!!0
