My husband has been diagnosed with this cancer. Can anyone give me any advice on what he should eat. He knows what not to eat, but noone seems to be able to help us with what to eat. All help greatly appreciated.

It's a pretty lengthy read, but it helped us understand cancer and nutrition a lot better after we read it.0 -
Welcome
Hello and welcome to the stomach cancer discussion board. I am sorry to hear of your husband's dx, but coming here will prove to you to have hope. I was a caregiver for my dad. He had a tumor at his gi junction on his esophagus right above his stomach. He had radiation and 6 wks of oral chemo xeloda. He did well, minimal side effects. After a year, the ec went to his liver and within 3 mos. he passed away. You have to stay as positive as possible. Have a strong faith and pray often. As far as food is concerned, I would suggest food high in protein. And high in calories. He will be losing weight, you want to have him maintain a good weight. Think of soft foods, protein shakes, soups, etc. Small meals throughout the day. If and when this gets to the point he can not eat by mouth, he can get a feeding tube. Hope this helps. Keep in touch.
