Sacramento--just what the doctor ordered!
My trip down went very well and Linda so graciously picked me up at the airport and was willing to do anything I wanted. We went for lunch and coffee and then I slept as I had been up all night. After the lunch Linda took me shopping, drove me around and showed me Sacramento, we went to a park, walked and talked. I was not expecting the tremendous generousity and hospitality she showed me. I am ever so grateful!
I almost had her talked into driving to San Fransico, LOL, you know.....while I'm there, LOL. Actually I think she would've done it. A huge heart on that girl Everyone I dealt with while there was very friendly and helpful and gave me a very positive experience about the city and it's people.
Thank you for the warmth and sunshine you put in my heart! I've posted some pictures, some are a little different, hope you enjoy! And Chen....the wine made it...unbelievable but true!!
hugs to all

How wonderful that you were able to attend. Sounds like you had a fantastic time.

You know Stef, I didn't want to let another one go by without attending. Life is or can be just too short and I think that's what helped me make up my mind....good fare rates helped too

I hope that soon I can attend one of these get togethers. You are right, we shouldn't put these moments off for we never know what lies down the road. I looked at all the pics and loved them. You are all a beautiful group of women. My favorite, though, was the one where you were in disquise. So funny. Hope Traci enjoyed that one cause I am sure it was for her benefit. Glad you got to fly up. What fun for all of you. San Francisco would have been fun. I love that city. I was born there and have never lived more than 40 miles from it. Maybe another time.
Anyway, I am happy that all of you had the chance to meet and greet and eat.

I'm so happy for you, Jan! And for all our sisters who attended! It IS, indeed, EXTRAORDINARY to meet in person! To hug, hear voices and laughter! It's... it's... MAGICAL!!!
And may I point out - your presence made it an INTERNATIONAL gathering! How cool is THAT?!?
Kind regards, Susan0 -

Jean, you are so right, it was a whirlwind adventure..and I'd do it all over again....perhaps after somemore sleep though, LOL!
Susan, the whole trip seems a little surreal but I have the pics to reassure myself it did happen0 -
What an adventure!
Doesn't it feel great to be spontaneous? I almost thought about attending myself but
I had promised to house and dog sit that weekend.. ):
But you know if it was me, me with my big mouth, would have been too excited and
told everyone. How did you think of keeping it secret and "managed" (aka tortured us)
to keep it secret?
i am so glad you enjoyed it Jan.
Hugs,

I was a little late in my final decision and it seemed to evolve from there. Then it seemed others became a little more excited so it was really easy for me keeping it a secret. I think it also played as a distraction to some who are going through a rough time and for a few minutes they may have forgotten their own personal pain. At least that's how it works when I'm down. I love hearing of happy events.
