vaginal staph
Am I the ONLY one that has had these experiences, or is there someone else out here that has had similar problems??

Hi Ranelle
I definitely have dealt with the vaginal stenosis, sexual difficulties and vaginal pain when using the dilator. I have been on the Vagifem tablets for over a couple of months now and agree, inserting the applicator can be very painful. I have made myself bleed a few times doing that, as I think sometimes it doesn't go in straight and I scrape the vaginal wall. Vagifem also caused me a lot of cramping and spotting when I first started on it. Now I just deal with the spotting sometimes. About the discharge, I'm glad you are finally getting some tests run on that to see what it is.
I just love it when the gyno tells us just to have sex. Kinda like when Bobby Knight told rape victims that they should lie back and enjoy it. They truly don't understand.
Please let us know what you find out from the lab analysis. I will hope for the best possible news for you that can be easily treated.0 -

my radiation team keeps saying to have sex. use some lidocaine. are they crazy???? if i tear my anal area from the thrusting, i will just give up. they do not understand. yes, a hubby of someone i was told left her because she could not have sex. ridiculous and horrible. men are foolish. my hubby is being patient, so far. i hope he can continue. i am enraged that these docs at MDA which is supposed to be one of the finest hospitals for cancer in the world, do NOT understand. i am furious. my radiaiion oncologist KILLED me with the DRE. not sure he used any lubricant. did not see him put some on glove but i am always nervous. should i tell him??? sephie0 -

Yes, I think you should let your Dr. know about the pain, and I wouldn't go back to him. You deserve the very best.
if I have a problem with a Dr. and how I am treated, I do not go back.I do have stenosis of the vagina (adhesions)from all the scar tissue. I tried dilators and once had surgery in the office, but it caused me too much pain for a week afterwards.
My attitude is that, if I should ever have a relationship again, he is going to have to love me for who I am. Besides, there are other ways to satisfy besides intercourse.
