It's been a while Update**
We had very premie twin grandsons born last November thankfully they have done well and as of the second week of Feb. they went home. Both little guys are at 9 lbs now and all seems to be going well.
Like so many of you I had scans 2 weeks ago and got results on Friday. We are watching lymph nodes in the lungs and one close to the spleen, they are enlarged etc. I know the lymph nodes might be enlarged for all sorts of reasons so I am not too shook. The really smart people can not tell me if it is or is not a problem, the onc said that CRC does not show on PET scans-know that is not so true! CEA is staying very low, will repeat the scans in 3 months. I'm still with the same Onc, I tried to change but Texas Oncology seems to have everything sewn up here and I would need to get a note from my current onc to see the one I really want to see. Feels like it leaves me at a disadvantage. Oh well marching forward! If there are further developments will head over to the Univeristy hospital and work with the really smart people there.
I just heard from the Dad that his wife's son has CRC. My Dad is 85 and so the stories I get are often not correct. (I know age does not dictate if one can keep stories straight but Dad has Parkinsons and the mental issues that sometimes go with it.) He still does not believe that I had CRC, so I am hoping he is not correct with this one. I really hate this disease.
I will keep tabs on you all and wish you the best. I would love to post pictures of our grandkids but the family would prefer I did not (Drats!!! because they are really really cute!)
Wishing you all well.
Jan
PS. Well my Dad was not right about the CRC for his wifes son. He actually has early prostrate CA. I am maybe a bit releaved because it was found very early, yet cancer is cancer, and I still hate it!

I have been wondering how you are. Sorry about the lymph nodes; I had a few they were watching shrink on my last scan. It is good they are keep their eyes on it. I hope you are enjoying all your grandchildren (I think it is 3; is that correct?) I hope your Dad's stepson does not have CRC + if he does, that he has good results with his treatment. Are you sewing?0 -
