Back from Boston and hoping for good results

Good evening to all. I have been reading but not posting lately I am exhausted by the end of the day and can't think very clearly. My daughter has been unable to keep fluid or food in her stomach for very long before she starts vomiting. This is with a pain patch and a nausea patch . She has lost 15 # since December now weighs 95 #. Yesterday we drove to Boston to her surgeon, she was put in day surgery and the surgeon put a scope in her throat and stomach to look for obstructions . The good news is he could not find any obstructions or malignant tumors. He was able to insert a tube with a balloon and stretch a valve that connects the stomach and the small intestine. He said the valve was very tight. I hope and pray that this will help her to eat. She says she feels like she is starving . Today she did vomit four hours after eating rice cereal but we will remain hopeful and pray . I want to thank all the caring people who posted information and their experiences in my last post. I find useful information so many times in the telling of life experiences on this site. We are all in this unsettling journey together and need one another. A note to William I am so glad you had a good report on your visit to Pa. I enjoyed your telling of the trip home. Kind regards, Grandma Jo

Hello Grandmajo
Thank you
Hello Grandmajo
Thank you for your recent update! Glad to hear that your daughter had some success having what sounded like a "stretch" to her stomach/intestine. Hoping this works out for her. Has anyone ever suggested her getting a feeding tube? I will be thinking and praying for you both.
