Pet Scan Results

Well, my husband just got the results from his pet scan. Before we go into details with what the scan said, let me give you a little history. My husband was diagnosed in 2007 with stage 4 colon cancer with mets to his liver, lungs and lymph nodes. After having a foot and half of his colon removed, he started heavy chemo for 12 rounds, and then has been on chemo maintenance since then.
So the results are that he is clear of any disease - they just see a tiny little spot on his lung. But the onc isn't completely sure if it's cancer, she said it could be left overs from the flu that he had in January. So she is going to keep him on his maintenance chemo and sent him for a CAT scan in 4 months to see if it's still there. and then they will make a decision wether to continue on with this chemo or change him to something else or give him a bit of a break.
So, that's it. He is happy with the results, the onc is happy with the results and I am happy with the results. We have not met NED in awhile but we will get there someday.
Fight the good fight, cause it's worth it.
Good Luck to you all
