dilema
I posted a while back about my anemia issues and bone and joint pain. MAfter treatment for anemia, my levels are back up, but I am still suffering from chronic fatigue and pain. I was on femara for 6 months which started the whole pain issue. I was then switched to tamoxifen. I feel slightly better, but am wondering about Aromosin? I know this is a sister drug of femara, which I can never take.
My dilema is this: Is this just my "new normal"? Are fatigue and pain just a part of my life now?? Even though I am almost 2 years post diagnosis, I still feel so new at everything. It goes back to nobody tells you what could happen "after".
Of course, I have a call in to my doctor to discuss this, but I was just wondering if anyone else felt the frustration. I will put up with what I need to, but I have 4yrs left of this.
Thanks

I dont know. I have been on
I dont know. I have been on tamoxifen for a year. i had arthritic issues after chemo, and has worsened on tamoxifen. My doc says saome of the symptoms are sudden chemo pause and the decreased estrogen from that and the tamoxifin. I have a friend who is on arimedex and it has gotten better over time.
I feel often too tired to exersize but when i do the aches are better.0 -

This "new normal" is different for each of us. Itwill be a year on 3/30 that I completed chemo and I must say that I get tired way too easily. I dont like it and sometims am besides by myself because I just cant push like I did pre BC. I think I'd like to work but not sure I'd have the energy. I'm 68 and I know age limits us as well but 68 is not that old. I dont like feeling like this and no one really understands how I feel except for you ladies.0 -

1. I have accepted this fact.
2. I found my way around it, change my habits.
3. I taught family and friends to lower expectations4
4. I am Less tired when I enjoy what I have been doing, so avoiding unpleasant activities.
When I told my oncologist that I feel more tired now than when I had cancer, he was numb for 5 min.
It will be better, spring is coming, you will have summer off!!!!
