One year since Lumpectomy
I just want to say to all of you who are just starting this journey YOU WILL DO IT!! I have discovered I am stronger than I thought I was, I think we all are. It was not always easy but as we say it is DOABLE and you will do it!! Prayers and Gods blessing for the greatest group of support I could have ever found. Thank you all.

Sept 2 it will be 2 years since my lumpectomy(well lumpectomies) since one was found just before they took me into surgery. The radiology doctor had to mark that one too.I was in shock.Stressed to think that one more showed up.You know how that is.Had one now 2 so you feel it spread.Well the second tumor was benign. The first (which I had a needle biopsy before lumpetomy) was malignant. I've been on Tamoxifin since Dec 2009. Doing OK on it so far.
It seems to me I want things to go much faster now.I had a mammo done in Jan and now can't wait till I get the one in July.I do self exams but my malignant tumor my doctor didn't feel 5 months before when I went in after a blow to my breast(grandson elbowed me).The tumor was very very small though. These things can pop up overnight.
Oh and for my 2nd surgery done Sept 29(check margins) another benign tumor was found.I found it 2 days before but thought it was fluid build up.Doctor came in and sat with me for a while before surgery and I mentioned the new found place. He said "We'll see when we get in there".he called me on a Saturday just to tell me it was benign.

What a difference a year makes.
I agree it's weird looking back at everything we have been through and remembering how frightened we were. That needle localization was really weird wasn't it? I wonder who ever came up with such a strange procedure. I'm glad you are doing well and yes this is the greatest group of support!0 -

How time flys but yet seems
How time flys but yet seems to last an eternity!!!!! How true that is! Its so strange what we have to get use to and call our new normal and the things our bodys have gone thru and came out of, making us what we are...survivors!
Congrads on your first year...that is so awesome!0
