Going for my lumpectomy today.
I pray every day for a cure for cancer. It took my Mom at age 55.

Hang on!
My lumpectomy wasn't anything like I expected...Actually, for ME, it wasn't bad at all...no real pain to speak of, sore and uncomfortable yes for a few days...took the pain meds as prescribed, didn't miss one...like nausea, it's easier to prevent than get under control once it starts...
Wishing you the best today..keep us posted when you feel up to it.
Peace be with you

Good Luck! You will be great!
I have to admit I was actually excited to go into surgery. I think that's because my chemo was neoadjuvant and I had to live with the tumor inside for 5 months before they took it out!. I was a little nervous too because I didn't know what the healing process would entail. But I can tell you that it took about a week before I was pretty much doing everything again. I did stay tired for about 2 weeks so try to schedule help the next 2 weeks. I almost 3 weeks out and right now I feel fine. You will be great! Good Luck!0 -

I've had tumors for years.Used to you stayed in the hospital for 2 days or more. Now you are home within a few hours. For pain they give meds.I don't like taking them but my pain was bearable. Not real bad at all. Been in much worse pain with kidney stones and bladder infections.
Watch when you start driving. Those bumps can get the best of you.Did me.Go slow and try to miss them if at all possible.
Prayers and thoughts for you today and hopefully a good report after the surgery is over.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
