Tina, I had that the summer of 2009. It is a bit annoying, but you get used to it. And it did decrease my two tumours quite a bit.0 -
Did 6 Weeks + 5fu Pump 24/7
I'm the oddball out it seems - I took a real hit from it. I ended up doing the full 30-treatment with the pump the whole six weeks. It was supposed to intensify the radiation as a complementary therapy. But it whipped me pretty good.
Jorge will sail through the first week as the effects are cumulative...meaning each week the radiation will continue to build up in his system and he could get progressively sicker and he will get pretty fatigued too - all he can do is just rest, rest, and rest.
Also, he will feel the effects about a month after the treatment stops. So you're looking at about 9-weeks here from start to finish. Healing and the side effects will dissipate but will take many months of healing - there will be alot of internal inflammation.
You'll start to notice changes towards the end of Week #3 and into the fourth week.
While I'm sure Jorge will handle it ok - if he has symptoms like I've described before, you'll know that it's a possibility. The key is to rest when he's tired and eventually he will feel better.
Take care, Tina

I just wanted you and Jorge to know you will be in my thoughts tomorrow, (well, heck your in them every day)but even more so tomorrow. You know that song, "Good Vibrations", going to be stuck in my head all day as I think of you two.
I know nothing about the chemo he's going to be on or radiation.
Just, I got your back.
Love ya,
Winter Marie0 -

"Good Vibrations"?
Hi Tina and Jorge, pick your mouth up off of the floor and listen to this:

Probably not the one Winter meant but also VERY good.
I will be here thinking good thoughts for you two as you start this unfamiliar journey.
Peace and Love, Laurie0
