Thank you for your your reply Nancy, you are in my thoughts often! Could you give me any guidance as how to find to the vaccine trial you mentioned? I know that Carlene and Linda gave information about how to research trials going on, but unfortunately I can not recall where their posts were. Thanks again, Christine

    I really don't know what
I really don't know what trial he was talking about. I was in an active trial when he mentioned it and we were looking at future option. After researching I found the one he might have been talking about but you wouldn't qualify for because it. You would have to have had at least one additional chemo agent after you initial treatment. It is for women in 2nd remission or 3rd complete remission. I think the 2nd remission doesn't have to be 'complete' but you have to have a normal ca125, 3rd remission has to be complete. I would have qualified but I don't anymore. I hope I'm not giving you wrong info on the qualifications. Either way, you can check this website:

One of the easiest sites to
One of the easiest sites to navigate for trials is the NOCC site....www.ovarian.org
They list only trials for ovarian cancer.

    Another is www.clinicaltrials.gov
There you can search by cancer type.

Most major hospitals (Memorial Sloan-Kettering, MD Anderson, etc) have search engines designed to help you find trials at their cancer centers. Just Google the name of any large hospital and look around their site.

I have not heard of a vaccine trial for women in partial remission, but I will post the particulars if I find one. The vaccine trial I am in is only at Sloan Kettering and is only accepting women in their first (complete) remission. There are vaccine trials all over the country (GOG212, I think is the name) for those in second or third remission. I'm not what the criteria is, but if you Google GOG212, you should pull it up pretty easily.

    Thank you,
Thank you, Nancy and Carlene. My brain tells me that this break to give my body a rest and recuperate from surgery and chemos makes sense, but at the same time it makes me nervous waiting. Chris
