No corn beef cooking....
but I do have green on. Back when I used to drink this was one of my favorite days to celebrate. Everyone have fun today and be careful driving if you are drinking.

I wear green everyday, with my green eyes! I actually cooked a corned beef and cabbage "luncheon" for one of my ladies I care for, with potatoes~carrots~and irish soda bread! (I am a private in home caregiver). She had 3 ladies come for the lunch. It received rave reviews! Not bad for a first timer~0 -
Yes
Green leaves on my butterfly tattoo.
Happy St. Pat's everyone!!!!!!

Dark green sweatshirt with a
Dark green sweatshirt with a light green turtleneck under it, A shamrock pin and earrings. Not to forget my green eyes - but they come from the German side of the family.)
Actually the 2 ancestors who came from the old sod - 1 was a greenman the other an orangeman.
Hubby's ancestor from there were all green.
There will be corned beef and cabbage in the house for supper - his supper and he has to coook it - I hate cooked cabage (except for French Suarkraut) and corned beef so he gets to make it for himself every St. Paddy's Day. (I get yellow rice and chicken - so yummy).

Green here
I'm not doing corned beef & cabbage this year, even though I have an easy recipe done in the crockpot. Not much energy today, but I will probably toss together some Irish soda bread later.
Since this is NCAA basketball tournament time, and I'm in KU country, I'm wearing my "Rock Chalk Shamrock" shirt!

Wearing green glass earrings
Wearing green glass earrings ( recycled Depression Glass from the 1940's)..I don't do "theme stuff" very well. I admit it is a prejudice of mine; I only envision Old Ladies wearing sequinned T-shirts, necklaces and earrings declaring whatever holiday it is, and I swore NEVER to be one of those ladies! So now that I am a "woman of a certain age" I am ever more vigilant not to look like any holiday!! LOL In my mind, it just screams OLD!!
We are meeting friends for dinner tonight~ not sure if corned beef will be on the menu or not!0 -

Lots of Green
Working at a Preschool, we really get into the holidays - the little ones love it! Today we all wore green clothes, accented with leprechaun pins, green sparkly necklaces, shamrock bobbly headbands, socks with shamrocks on, etc. The "leprechauns" come to the classrooms while the children are in the gym and mess up the rooms, turning over the chairs, scattering toys and books, and hiding gold coins (chocolate) in their shoes (which the children have taken off and left in the room, as per the leprechaun's secret note (part of a treasure hunt). There are tiny green footprints in the halls, as well as green glitter, for the children to follow for the clues. All of the kids make leprechaun traps out of shoeboxes and various other items - some of them are quite intricate and imaginative - candy for bait, trapdoors, ladders, strings that pull down the box when (if) the leprechaun goes into it for the bait. The treasure is a large pot of gold (lots of chocolate gold coins). I think St. Pat's Day is my favorite holiday at Preschool! Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the leprechauns put green food coloring in the toilet tank so each time a child flushes, it is green. They think the leprechauns peed in the toilet before they left!0 -
