Deb, I dont often post much here but I do come and read the posts pretty often. I have always admired the information and support you have given to so many who visit here. You are in my thoughts and prayers. And thank you for all that you have done and continue to do.0 -

Miss Staying Calm!
HI Glenna,
Gosh, just one reply from Deb. wonder how she's doing??? Has anyone heard from her?
How are you doing? Our snow has finally mostly melted and looks like spring will finally be here soon. Was out picking up branches in the yard which is still too wet to really do anything to, but got depressed. Tom and I always cleaned up the yard together in spring and this is going to be the 1st anniversary of losing him on Mar. 25. so started crying again. Hope after the 25th is over things get better again. Thought I was doing good, but guess maybe this is natural to have this happen.
Well take care. Carole0 -

I have seen Deb respond to a few other posts here and I know she is upset about her typing not being as good as it was before. I'm sure she will be back on more frequently as she improves. She's one tough lady and she won't let this keep her down for long!!
I'm hanging in there, just waiting for my next scan in May to see what's happening with the new lesion. I have myself convinced that it will disappear all by itself - LOL.
I have a girlfriend who lost her husband two years ago this month and left her with 10 year old twin girls. Naturally, she is devastated and is still having a hard time during holidays and anniversaries. She did tell me that what I had told her was true "It's the firsts that are the hardest, the first Christmas, New Years, birthdays, etc." She still misses him each day but has found that it's a little easier the second year. I'm sure that everything you do that you and Tom used to do together is going to be painful, even something as simple and everyday as doing the yard work. Just try to remember the good times and all the love you shared, I know it won't take away the pain, nothing will, only time will ease the pain.
My best to you always.

I'm more or less back, missed you all too much to stay away
My week of recovery coincided with the devastation in Japan, which has hit me harder than I ever expected. I'm not sure why, as I don't have any personal connections there. There were just so many people lost and nothing I can do to fix things
I haven't browsed the board yet, hoping to see plenty of good news from you all!

Deb
I was starting to get concerned because it's been a while but I figured you were just resting and healing.
I think I know how you feel about what happened in Japan. I know a young man who is in the military and is stationed in Japan but that's not the reason this has affected me the way it has. I can't explain it, maybe it's because these people had no warning before their lives were changed forever. Heartbreaking!!
Stay strong and stay in touch,

Deb,
So glad to see you're back. Guess we are all so attached to one another that we miss anyone when they don't post. How are you doing?
Today is one year anniversary of my losing Tom, so I'm having a horrible day. Right now I have "Pandora radio" playing on my computer and their playing songs that the tears are just rolling down my face, but I need to get it out.
You mentioned Japan? Well my daughter-in-law is Japanese and her parents and brother & wife & other relatives live there. They weren't in the worst part, but do have damage to their house. My poor daughter-in-law just threw her arms around me and sobbed cause she wants to be there to help. So I've been so concerned about them too. Although they are lucky cause their son & his wife live in Tokyo and have been bringing them food & bottled water from there. It's horrible though and it's so depressing to watch it on TV.
Well, Deb, I've been thinking about you and hope you stay strong & keep fighting!
Friends, Carole0
