Cat scan today, bone scan Wednesday
Just wanted to share. Had my annual CT to watch some chest nodes. Haven't gotten the full report yet but my Onc. was kind enough to read it on his computer and doesn't see any change. Great news.
I have had a lot of lower back pain so now the bone scan. I'm glad he's being thorough just have close space issues and while it's on my face I don't do well.
I'm nervous so he suggested a couple of Ativan. I will do that so my daughter will drive. Also he finally took some bloodwork. Sometimes he seemed to dismiss most of my complaints, so this is good.
I also have emphysema in both lungs and that worries me a lot. All in all, I've had a rough day.
I don't want to complain, but I feel like all of you are my friends and just wanted to share.
Thanks for listening.
Love & Hugs,
Wanda

Wanda, never see it as complaining dear,
it's what we all need...venting. We're here for each other and we certainly KNOW and understand what we're feeling.
I'm happy there is no change and I'll be praying that you have a good scan & blood work!
Let us know how it goes.
Hugs,

Good to hear
your CT scan was good. Good luck with your bone scan. I did not have a problem with having one done but at least you are being proactive and planning ahead so you do not have a problem. I will keep a good thought for you tomorrow and if you need a hand to hold mine will be there for you.

Congrats on the CT scan! Great news! I had a bone scan, as, I was having some back pain, and, like your oncologist, mine doesn't leave any stone unturned. I am glad that I did, as, there was no cancer! The techs pretty much told us that everything was fine before we left, so, my hubby and I felt better leaving.
And, I got to keep my clothes on! Woohoo! Finally! My husband set in the room with me and talked to me the whole time. lol I had actually taken a nerve pill and could have dozed off I think, but, he kept yapping, trying to console me. lol
The machine does go from your head to the bottom of your feet and it is close to your face, I won't lie about that and it moves very slow. But, once it passes your face, you should be fine. You will be on your back. I didn't know if you knew that.
Good luck and know that I am there yapping at you in the room!

Hugs Wanda....im sorry your having a bad day but im glad the nap helped and besides i think that cancer survivors are allowed more than just one bad day and we can complain all we want... lol! So vent away girl, were listening!
I am so sorry about all the testing, worries and waiting. The first part of testing sounds 'Great'. Now on to the blood work results, and secondary scans. You deserve to nap, walk, scream or run. Take a few minutes to pat yourself on the back, you've been thru 'hellll' and back... So .. test away, scan away - anything and everything that is needed to put you at peace with decisions regarding 'your' health.
Keeping you in good thoughts and prayers, my friend.

The Ativan will definitely take the edge off of your anxiety. I'm glad you are having your daughter drive you, also she will be moral support for you. It's great to vent here, as we all understand where you are coming from.
Good luck with the scan. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Good luck on your bone scan. I didn't get claustrophobic, it is open on both ends and you move in and out of it a lot. It was just hard for me to stay still.I hope you have a better day today!
Keeping you in my prayers and thoughts Wanda!

All I can say to all of you ladies is that I'm typing this in tears. Literally. I'm so overwhelmed at how many of you took the time to write your encouraging words to me. I felt like I was wining when I typed this post and boy did you all let me feel the love.
There are no words for what you all mean to me and how much it helps.
Off tomorrow for the bone scan and I know everyone one of you will help me through the hard part ( the face).
Much Love and Thanks,
Wanda0 -

Aw Wanda, don't cry. You are so special on here and loved by all of the pink sisters. Don't you know that?
No way were you whining, not at all. Your post is exactly why this board is here. So, you just keep posting, ok?
You've got my prayers, hugs and good luck for tomorrow Wanda! We'll be there with you!
