Well it has been awhile since I have posted anything.
I had my TT on 2/7/11 and doing okay (anxiety, fatigue, emotional brakdowns)....
Currently about 1 month into taking Levothroxine (125mcg).
I had my consult today with the Radiologist and will be having the RA treatment soon.......
LI Diet start 3/21
4/11 Thyrogen shot
4/12 Thyrogen shot
4/13 RA pill
4/21 WB Scan
I have been told that I will be off work for approx 5 days. Is that enough??
Honestly, I just want this all to be over already.....

Next Phase
Hi Wendy,
I took about nine days including the weekends, but everyone is different. I felt okay during the treatment but had fatigue and soreness afterward. Body aches mostly. The thyrogen will make it more bearable. At least you don't have to go hypo.
The time goes by pretty fast. Looking back, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. "Nothing is ever as good or as bad as you think it will be." More words of wisdom from my mom. I have done it twice. This is what I tell everyone; look at it as a little vacation for yourself. Enjoy some daytime TV, take long naps, take warm baths, do a pedicure and manicure. Whatever makes you happy.
Just FYI, depending on your dose, it's more than a few pills. Mine were from six to nine pills. Don't drink too much water or you will make yourself nauseated. I think this a common mistake for some. The drug itself won't make you sick, but you can drink too much water and/or psych yourself into feeling nauseated.
Hang in there and keep in touch with us. We are here for you.
Blessings and healing thoughts,
Julie-SunnyAZ0
