vaginal discharge
I need opinions on vaginal discharge. I am beginning to have a sticky slightly discolored odorless discharge and I was wondering if this is normal. I am approximately 2 years from my hysterectomy and a little more than 1 and 1/2 years from the end of my adjuvant chemo/xrt treatment. This discharge is similar to what I experienced before my UPSC diagnosis and it has me a little worried. I had my last followup only 2 months ago and everything was okay. I just need to know if this can wait until I see my doc again in May of if maybe I should call and make an appointment sooner.
What to do, what to do?... )
Thanks for any info you can give.

Laura I would call my doctor
My doctor always says if something is different than to call him. This discharge sounds like something to be followed up on now and not wait until May, especially since you experienced this before your initial diagnosis. I hope it turns out to be nothing, but it will give you peace of mind to know if it is something to be concerned about or not. Good luck. In peace and caring.0 -

Thank you Ro for answering my question when you are going through such a difficult time yourself. I probably should have put "help with symptom" in the subject box. There may be ladies on this board who found my subject heading in poor taste, but I was on a mission. :0) I was hoping people would say, "Yes, I experience that and it's nothing to worry about". It seems to be better though, and I'm not quite ready to raise the alarm. It's probably just lymph fluid as I did have lymph nodes removed and I had just been on a long car ride and that tends to make my minimal lymphedema worse. I will keep a eye on it.
Wishing you a rapid and long standing remission.

Your title in the subject box was fine. We are used to people putting words like that in the subject box. I am glad that the drainage is less. If it continues. I would certainly call the doctor. I never had the lymphedema, so I don't know if that would cause vaginal drainage or not.
Thank you for your good wishes. I go tomorrow for my second chemo (8th really). In peace and caring.0 -

Remember, Laura, this is a group of women who have had uterine cancer and most of us have talked about everything associated with our reproductive track and genitalia over and over and over and over. I feel perfectly comfortable bringing up such issues here and I hope you do, too.
I have no idea what your discharge could be, but I definitely would at least report it to your physician before your May appointment and let him/her make the decision of whether you should be seen sooner. It is not normal for you and so it inidicates something has changed. Better safe than sorry. Please don't diagnose yourself.
I hope it's nothing. I'd rather feel foolish for bringing something up to my gyn oncologist and feeling foolish for not when I should have.

Hopefully it was nothing and the discharge has stopped. I'm really hoping I can wait until May as getting in touch with my oncologist is next to impossible and it just adds to the stress. At my next appointment I am going to talk with him about changing doctors and I'm not looking forward to the discussion.
Thank you so much for the reassurance ladies. I don't know how I managed before I found this board.

happened to me
I've had some off and on...I let my dr. know. My gyn/oncol told me that when she does a physical look, they could actually see problems at times... pap tests are to get to places can't see..I have discharge after intercourse sometimes...ask your dr. as I was also having that type before I knew what it means before being informed that was symptom before diag. & surgery.0
