I know you all like a little good news now and then

Jim's scans came back and showed very slight "shrinkage" in his tumors and less activity showed up on the PET scan. We are still going ahead and getting a second opinion on treatment from THE CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA. We leave Wednesday and will go for a five day evaluation. We are pleased that the current treatment of irinotican and avastin is working, but Jim just can't take the lousy side affects of the treatment. So it can't hurt to go see what else can be done I guess. I'll try and keep you all posted on what we find out up there. If we like what we hear after the evalutation, they will just start him on the treatment right away and we'll stay for another five days. We live close enough that we can do the drive every other week or so I guess. It takes just under two hours to get there.
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

Dear April
Glad to hear the scan results.
I know you have said that Jim is having most difficult time with this latest treatment.
I hope that you have some positive feedback from Cancer Treatment Centers.
Prayers for you both. Travel safely.
Hugs,
Marie who loves kitties0 -

Yay!
That's wonderful to hear the news that Jim is getting less activity and some tumor shrinkage! I'm sorry to hear the chemo is so hard on him, but definitely glad to hear it's been working. As you say, it certainly can't hurt to get another opinion.
Definitely let us know how that goes!
Take care & I'm continuing to think of you and Jim- and pray, as you had asked.
