post menopausal endometrial lining 7mm

I just had a edometrial biopsy yesterday for a thicken endometrial lining of 7.2. I was having pelvic cramping but no bleeding. I have always had back problems so I didn't think much of telling the OBGYn of my recent leg pain radiating from my right buttock to my knee and sometimes to my calf as I went to the chiropractor and he said it was sciatica. But now I am wondering if it is related to the endometrial lining. My mother died of uterine cancer 2 1/2 years ago and it scares me to death. She had bleeding and kidney infections and I have none of that. Just pain in leg and occasional cramping. I am afraid that if it is cancer that it matastasized in the lymph nodes in my right leg. My endometrial biopsy won't be back for 3 weeks and I don't want to wait that long if it is cancer. Anyone know what I should do? My mom died because she was misdiagnosed with a kidney infection and then found out it was uterine cancer in June 2007 and didn't have a hysterectomy until November 2007 and it had spread to stage 4 she briefly had a remission but 2 weeks later in June 2008 it spread to her colon and passed away Sept 12, 2008. So I am very frighten of any delays in treatment if it is cancer

    your situation
I am sorry that you are having to wait so long for your pathology report. With a family history ask the doctor to get your pathology report back in a week. My Mom died in 2005 of uterine adenocarcinoma@72 yrs old. I was diagnosed in2009 with the same cancer stage 2B. Get to a gynecologist /oncologist if you aren't seeing one now. There is a genetic defect called Lunch Synsrom that is present in some families. If you have same cancer as your Mom you may want to be tested at some point. I wish I would have had complete hystere tony after my mom died as I had some of the risk factors for uterine cancer. Keep us posted on what you find out.

kerry, it looks like that was

kerry, it looks like that was the one and only post by Sandy.  With her family history I hope she got herself evaluated.  As for you, if you have a family history then you need some answers and if you have a concern you need some answers.  Push until you get them.
