How are you feeling? Hope chemo did not hit too hard.
Feeling much stronger - almost like normal since the resection. I do have a a hematoma around one of the incision sites so I am planning on sitting in the Colorado sun thinking of what to do with the garden this year. Family up on Sat for my husbands birthday.0 -

My husband and our 16 year old youngest son are going away for a 3 day weekend with Civil Air Patrol. Hubby will do the cooking (and teach a few classes) so I have to....
Get Nick a haircut. Pack pots and pans. SHOP for food for 20 plus people for 3 days, 3 meals a day and then..........
.....sleep in an empty house for the first time in my LIFE! I'll 60 years old and I've never been alone all night in my life!
The good news is, I had my CEA and CTC blood work a week ago today and it all came back 'stable since surgery'. Actually, my onc always says my CEA, etc. are "PERFECT! EXCELLENT!" so I'm pretty stoked about that! I have my yearly scan on March 18th and see the onc on March 25th.
I'll sit out in the sun and maybe do a little yard work. On Sunday I'll go to Sunday School and church. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Wonderful news, Diane, about your CEA and CTC! It was what I expected.
Now, you surprise me... you truly have never spent a night alone?? That's hard to believe- you can do it!!
Hugs,

not a whole lot
I really don't have any plans. Hubby and kids are going skiing Sunday- this is to make up for the day a few weeks ago that didn't work out (they went up, got stuck in traffic due to an accident, then came back home without ever skiing).
I'm really groggy feeling post chemo, so I may just do some relaxing. Sounds good to me!
My son had his 18th birthday yesterday, but we've already done the celebrating.
Weather is beautiful & it's supposed to continue through the weekend, so that always cheers me up
Have a good one, everyone!

Glad to hear of good results. Read a good book, treat yourself to some good tea. Hope you enjoy your time alone. I know its hard, I missed my kids so much, it was right after my liver resection, I had been home for a month and their aunt paid their way to Miami, florida for her my niece's Quince party. I was so lonely. Well my husband was at work, most of the time. but I watched a good movie and made me some good tea and read, Eat, Pray, Love......Blessing Lourdes0 -

Nice weekend
Today the temps reached 70degrees and will continue through the weekend, so I hope to get some more gardening going. I've already planted lettuce, spinach and bok choy
Saturday morning we have to go out very early to have one daughter delivered downtown for the St Patrick's Day parade, then we're heading to a friend's house so I can provide a computer lesson and my husband can sell off some of his musical equipment. It's a sad day to have to let go of some of our stuff but with the bills mounting up we really can't afford to keep all our toys any longer.
Sunday I expect to be working on my paintings...I have three commissioned portraits in progress currently and have another waiting to begin. I'm also getting some crocheted items finished to sell at the renaissance fair we staff for three weekends in May. I am hoping chemo won't ruin those fun plans.

Looking forward to today...
My daughter is coming for a visit and bringing my two granddaughters, ages 3 and 4. They are going with me to look at a Townhouse I'm considering and then out to lunch.
Lots of small stream flooding here in central PA but it looks as though the Sun might actaully come out today!
Hope you all have a nice weekend.
