Meena, I wish I could offerTexasgirl10 said:Oh Meena, I'm hugging you
Oh Meena, I am so sorry that you are going through this. Pulmonary embolisms are no fun. And the heparin injections do hurt. Are you pinching up a little bit of "fat" before you inject? If not, try that, it may actually make the injection hurt less. You are so strong Meena, and I am so very proud of you for fighting with everything you have and then some. Take good care of yourself, get plenty of rest, and know that we are all there with you cheering you on
Hugs and God Bless You,
Dawne
Meena, I wish I could offer you more help than what I am able to on this board, but, please know that I always pray for you and am happy to read the word stable!
If I, or, any of the other pink sisters could take the injections for you, we would. That is how loved you are!
Stay strong, keep fighting and know that we are all in your corner to support, encourage and help however we can.

So sorry that you are having to go through so much, but so glad to hear no new tumors or new growth. This cycle of ups and downs sometimes makes you think you are on a roller coaster. We are all glad to hear the good parts, but not so glad to hear that you are having to give yourself shots. Hang in there, dear one. This too shall pass. Hugs, Judy
Meena ... you are my hero. I don't know how you can be so brave. I can't imagine giving myself shots in the stomach ... and I can't imagine LETTING anyone else do it. They'd have to give me general anesthesia every time ... or hit me with a 2 by 4.
Hang in there... we're all rooting for you. Maybe if you just visualize that every time you stick that needle in your tummy you should take out some of your anger at BC and just jab away.
Hope you don't have to be a human pin-cushion for too much longer.
We're all thinking of you ...
big hugs,

wish you didnt' have to go through this
Needle sounds painful...but on flip side no cancer! that's great!0 -

Oh Meena, I am so sorry to hear this news. I am assuming that you are injecting some type of heparin product and I am attaching a youtube video of how to give yourself a SQ injection into your belly. Note, you might want to skip 3/4 way through--they take a while to get to the actual injection. Hope this helps and feel free to pm me about anything. You are in my prayers.
How to Give Yourself a Subcutaneous Injection
P.S. I think stable is awesome. And a pulmonary clot will definitely make you tired.
I want to thank you again Cynthia for always providing a link for anything that we ask about. Always good information!

Talk about Good News, Bad News!
Even though the good news is REALLY Good!!!, I'm sorry you have to go through giving yourself shots like that.
How much longer do you have to do that routine? I'm hoping the clot dissolves quickly for you so that your poor tummy feels better soon.
Gentle, Healing, Hugs,

Good news that there are no tumors and that your doctor says your condition is stable. I am so glad that you have this oncologist Meena.
I am sure those shots hurt a lot and I am so sorry.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,

I totally 'get' the shot
I totally 'get' the shot thing. I had to inject neupogin in my stomach for seven consecutive days after each chemo. Pinching the 'fat' definitely helps, and I found the sting was worse if I didn't let the alcohol dry completely. I also did a slightly different location each day, started to the left and below my belly button and moved an inch or so to the right each day. It's nice to know we have our medical professionals here to help.
Stable, that word has a very nice ring to it! I hope your clot goes away quickly, and that your energy comes back soon!
Hugs,

Meena, this may be dumb,PinkPearl said:Well the word stable is a great sign
But am so sorry you now have to add giving yourself shots to your routine. Plus who wants to give themselves painful shots? I just wish the fight wasn't so hard for you at this time but as you said the "fight goes on. You are a strong woman and I know you can do this but I sure wish you didn't have to! I have a very bouncy little dog and I also wish I could give you some of her energy . Love and Hugs to you from Pink.
Meena, this may be dumb, but, could you use emend or something to help deaden the area you give your shot in? Just wish there was something to ease the pain of it.
Have a good weekend!
Love, Leeza0 -

You have such a good, positive attitude that I have no doubt your body will find a way to dissolve this clot! If not, there is always heperin. I had blood clots in my lungs years ago and had to be on heperin and coumadin for a while. Not fun, but doable.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

STABLE--is wonderful
Giving yourself shots is not but look at the outcome--will dissolve that clot and you will feel so much better.
Feel better soon.
Huge Hugs,
