I have a blood clot in my chest, so my body is overcompensating by making all little tiny veins all over the place. Now, i have to give myself injections 2x a day in my belly, not fun at all. I hate it, after 2 days, my belly is so sore. i cannot belive that i have to do this, it was not actually as hard as i thought it would be, put pretty awful. Tonight, the shot was painful so i am not sure of how i positioned it. But the good news is that there is no new tumor growth or cancer spread, again the word "stable". I am so tired all the time, guess this clot may have something to do with that also. I hope everyone is doing well, and thank you for thinking about me. The fight goes on

You are so brave - I guess we all do what we have to do but I'm not sure I could inject myself in the belly (or let anyone else for that matter!) So cudos to you. Hang in there and I'm sending positive thoughts and energy out to you and hoping for better days ahead.

Well the word stable is a great sign
But am so sorry you now have to add giving yourself shots to your routine. Plus who wants to give themselves painful shots? I just wish the fight wasn't so hard for you at this time but as you said the "fight goes on. You are a strong woman and I know you can do this but I sure wish you didn't have to! I have a very bouncy little dog and I also wish I could give you some of her energy :). Love and Hugs to you from Pink.

Oh Meena, I am so sorry that you are going through this. Pulmonary embolisms are no fun. And the heparin injections do hurt. Are you pinching up a little bit of "fat" before you inject? If not, try that, it may actually make the injection hurt less. You are so strong Meena, and I am so very proud of you for fighting with everything you have and then some. Take good care of yourself, get plenty of rest, and know that we are all there with you cheering you on :)

    Hugs and God Bless You,

    Dawne

Focusing on the good news, Meena
Actually, stable isn't just good - it's great! I hope they have a plan for taking out that blood clot and then for whacking that recurrence back to the Stone Age!

    Love and prayers,

Oh Meena, I am so sorry to hear this news. I am assuming that you are injecting some type of heparin product and I am attaching a youtube video of how to give yourself a SQ injection into your belly. Note, you might want to skip 3/4 way through--they take a while to get to the actual injection. Hope this helps and feel free to pm me about anything. You are in my prayers.

How to Give Yourself a Subcutaneous Injection

P.S. I think stable is awesome. And a pulmonary clot will definitely make you tired.

So sorry that you are having to go through so much, but so glad to hear no new tumors or new growth. This cycle of ups and downs sometimes makes you think you are on a roller coaster. We are all glad to hear the good parts, but not so glad to hear that you are having to give yourself shots. Hang in there, dear one. This too shall pass. Hugs, Judy
