Get checked from behind

I was on the Cancer Care Ontario website + notice they have a joint promotion with ten teams in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League). The OHL is a Junior A ice hockey league. Many of the players go on to become NHL players. "Get checked from behind" urges fans to be screened for colorectal cancer. The participating teams will host events at every home game in March. Promotions include having information available at games, putting colorectal cancer screening messages on the big screen at games, + wearing Cancer Care Ontario patches on uniforms. I know we sometimes feel overlooked, so I wanted to share this with you. More information is available on the Cancer Care Ontario website. Hockey fans know checking from behind is illegal, so they have chosen a good catch phrase.

My mom has alzheimers disease and took the most terrifying fall down my basement steps face first onto the concrete. It was traumatizing to witness it. After she fell we called 911 & she was transported to the hospital. The doctors ordered a CT scan and X rays and they transported her two a bigger hospital with doctors that specialized in facial traumas.
She ended up being ok, BUT they saw a mass in her colon on the CT.
She had her colonoscopy today and she had a noncancerous mass just a little larger than a golf ball. The doctor said if we would have waited it could have become cancerous. The fall saved her life.
A blessing in disguise.
Now I know I will need to get tested because of the family history. My husband had stage 4 at age 35 with no family history. Why are there age guide lines?0
