Better sleep post surgery
Hi Donna, I wish you the best with your surgery. It would be un-natural not to lose some sleep the night before. There's no way to lose the "what-ifs" that I know of, but your background says you've had pretty good luck in that area before, so what if the sugery does the job. I hope your recovery is fast and painless, and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
best, Hal0 -

Hoping that you were able to drift off to sleep by now. Thinking of you and will say a prayer that surgery does the job.0 -
there will be a time after cancer, too
I think we live for our future, and cancer screws around with what we want to believe about that future. That is what upsets us so much. But you can still believe in tomorrow, even if you have to allow cancer to get in the way of it somewhat. I hope you can find peace by focusing now on a time after this cancer is long gone. I wish you so many good thoughts about your surgery.0 -

Prayers with you
Donna, I'm fighting the scary and the fears too..so understand how you feel. At night I lay down and close my eyes with all positive thoughts...everyone I love and that love me...of a bright future. And sometimes a little sedative might not hurt..talk to your doc about giving you something mild for the anxiety. It helps alot. Please you Rose0 -
Home and on the couch!
I'm so glad to be home and on the couch. Not to bad today. He took a little more than than i hoped but I'm good and doing fine. I never thought there would be a day that I would get excited over no stitches.... He placed a liquid bandage over the whole area instead. I should have the path report no later then Monday.
Thanks for all the prayers they really HELP!0 -

Hi, Donna. I'm glad to hear that things went well with the surgery. Best hopes and prayers that the pathology report is negative. Rest and heal and think of happy things. Yeah, most of us know that is a whole lot easier to say than to do, but it gets easier.

I miss this by being sick myself, hope the surgery went well and you are doing as good as can be.
keeping you in prayer

Hondo: I missed your "welcome to this site" message from the other day. I think it was buried in another thread/post. So thank you very much. I had the flu 10 days ago -- got sick after one of my regular ENT appts and guess I forgot how low my immune system was. It sucks having the flu on top of fighting the big C (somehow it just doesn't seem fair)... but they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
thanks for all of your words of wisdom -- I have been busy reading older posts and have learned a lot.... Ingrid0
