Aww Carkris thank you, I needed to hear that. Yes, sometimes it does feel like it's forever. But I am looking forward to brighter days ahead.

You are a strong woman! If that had happened to me, I think besides crying, I would have gotten in the car and driven myself home! You are almost there, just a few more txs and you will be free! My last chemo is tomorrow! Yipee... Then it's off to rads!
Hang in there. We've got your back.
Be Well,

Hang in there, dear sister. Yes, the 5th and 6th rounds of TAC tried to whip my butt too--but like you, I was determined to get through to the other side and you will too. Take good care of yourself and let others help you in any way they can.
As for loosing your hat--glad you got to see the humor in it. We have to try to laugh at these crazy things going on in our lives right now--and a good belly laugh boosts the immune system.
Hang in, sweetie. The finish line is in sight.
Hugs, Renee0 -
Awwwwww sweet Texasgirl!
Awwwwww sweet Texasgirl! You are a trooper of the highest order; having a bad chemo day but buying shoes and chasing a hat down the street??? They make movies about situations just like that!! I love how you described the wind as Rude! Perfect description!
We love you~ and we're so glad that you can see the chemo finish line! ((((((hugs)))))

just one day
More often than not we have more good days than bad. The days that are bad just help us remember how sweet the good ones are.0 -

Hi, I am new to this chat room in fact I have never chatted before at all but reading everyone's posts are helping me out so I decided to join. I am 31 years old and I have a 7 year old little boy who is my world. I feel like I am so alone at times and I really want this nightmare to be over with! I get so sick with neasea from the TAC and have literaly tried everything except the sancuso patch. I am about to go into my 5th round on Thursday and I am praying so hard that this works! I can NOT get that horrible taste out of my mouth for nothing! I also have tried everything for that as well. I am just glad to know I am not alone.

I know it doesn't seem like it to you, but it seems like you just joined and had not started chemo yet. Congratulations in getting almost through it. You can do it and will be proud of yourself that you did. Sorry about the rough time.
And a welcome to Mindy. Hope we can be of help, just sorry we have to.

You are strong and you will be done with chemo! Focus on the finish line and we will all be there celebrating with you!

What is it with these hats.. lol
I am glad you still smiled. I remember all the looks I would attract
when I finally went topless and I don't think people necessarily connected
to cancer, I think they just thought I was weird..
The chemo does get harder towards the end but hang in there and soon
you too will be a graduate. Be very patient and gentle to yourself, try not
to be frustrated when you can't perform the way you used to. And above
all spoil yourself, nice movies, good book, favorite music. If you are down
you might as well do something you enjoy.

Oh Diane, believe me, I didn't feel very strong at the time it happened. OMG, I literally felt helpless and didn't know what to do. But you know what, we are a strong bunch of women here, and you become what you hang around with, so I decided to hold my head high after I put that hat back on my head
Good luck with your last chemo, I'll be praying for you and sending you positive thoughts. I'm so proud of you for making it through chemo.. you ARE a strong woman!!

Hi Mindy, I am so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. I so understand the feelings of wanting this nightmare to be over, I promise you that we all do. I also promise you that you are not alone here. You have found a wonderful site with people ( women and men) that are so full of knowledge and will help you with any questions that you have. We also truly care. You are one of our pink sisters and we will stand beside you and fight right along with you.
Now for the nausea, have you asked your onc to prescribe some compazine? I use it and believe me it works wonders. Also for the horrible taste in your mouth, use biotene toothpaste and mouthwash. I can only drink bottled water that I have slightly frozen to make kind of like a slush, but it works. If you are getting mouth sores, ask your onc to prescribe some lidocaine swish. It really helps, but it is a temporary fix.
I will be praying for you and your sweet little 7 year old son. Please keep us posted.
Hugs and God Bless,

Not the perm out of your hairPinkPearl said:Dawne, that was a day to remember!
Haven't had my hat fly off yet but I expect that day is coming! That Texas wind is Rude, I agree. My Texas wind comes off the Gulf and it can blow a perm right out of your hair...well it could if I had any hair now. HE HE
Wow, that is some wind ya'll have down there.. I'd be upset if I paid tons of money for my perm and the gulf wind blew it out0 -

I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Too young but you are never alone. Looking at your childs face should offer some determination that we can get through this. If not for you then for your son. I have been reminding myself that I have to find perseverance in my daughters eyes0 -
