Good Morning,
I had my check-up with the ob/gyn oncologist yesterday. CA-125 is 7, clean scan and good exam. I am 21 months out. Just trying to make it to the 2 year mark. I will still see him every 6 months for 5 years, have a blood draw every 3 months, and scan every 6 months. Oh, and a breast MRI every 6 months. Sometimes I just want to be left alone. I talked to a lady in the waiting room with me. She had surgery in 2005, stage 3C, she was in remission for 4 years, did gemzar and carbo, and it put her back in remission. I will keep that combination in my pocket for later. Have a great day!!!!, Paula

Good news!
Paula
I would say you are not just "trying" to stay in remission, YOU ARE DOING IT!
Maybe you can set your intention on a "perpetual remission"--now that you have proved to yourself that you could come this far. That or something better.
Something better could only be to be CURED. Hmpf, there's a word the "pink ribbon people" think they own. LOL! No offense intended to any pink ribbon people on this discussion board.
Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us.0 -
