I need support

Hello everyone. I am Fifi from Asia. Well first of all, let me tell you that I am actually 19 years old. And currently datinga guy who is with lung cancer. We've been together for 7 months now, and its been terrific.

About 4 months ago, he was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 1. And he went through chemotherapy and every treatment that is possible. And about two months ago, the doctor told him that the cancer became into stage 2. The first time he told me about it, we cried. Like its was going to end. But he told me that he want me to be his last girlfriend in his life. And he wont leave me until his last breath. Every of our anniversary, he wont forget to sent me flowers. It make me love him more despite of the cancer.

Before, i would stayed at his place to take care of him with everything...but then now, i gotta go home and continue my university..so we have like a long distance relationship now. He kept on calling me at night saying he had pain and stuff. It worry me a lot. And i cried almost everyday.

Yesterday he told me he's gonna go for ct scan next tuesday, to see how the chemo works, to see whether the tumor is still there or not. And i dont know now what to do, and i am afraid for that day to come.

I always been positive infront of him but when i am alone, i'll cry. And i got no one to talk about this. And thats why i am here.

    good luck to you and your boyfriend if you look around this site you will find many stories of successful treatment. i had chemo and radiation for stage 3 lung cancer. i finished treatment about 1 year ago and so far the tumor is gone and i am recovering.it is not a lot of fun and can be a lot of work but with a little luck and a positive attitude everything will be ok.

    Although you and your boyfriend are far away from each other, you can still give him your support. It's hard being away from someone you care about when they are going through something like cancer. Just keep letting him know if you care about him that you'll be there no matter what. Try not to worry,maybe the news will be good. Till you're together again, come here for support. Carole
