Anyone have some good recepies that cover good nutrition during chemo?
I sure would appreciate some guidance.

    Fruit smoothies
    Mixing frozen fruit like bananas and strawberries or other berries with yogurt and fruit juice an amazing way to get all fruit in one serving and I also found drinking nutrition much easier than eating.

    What always appeals to me is oatmeal and a little milk. I figure it is a little nutrition and it always stays in.

    Hi Tara,
    My nurse told me I

    Hi Tara,

    My nurse told me I shouldn't get any raw fruits or vegetables for risk of infections. Pretty much everything that has a thin skin should be avoided raw or washed five times. I decided to make a big puree of fruits (apples, strawberries, pears). Did you girls have the same advice from your doctors?

    Yes, I love oatmeal in the morning. It's perfect. I've been having all sorts of side effects with chemo ( terrible constipation first then diareah then now a bit of nausea) and I'm desperately searching everywhere for good nutrition advice. So far I heard that limiting red meat, bad fats and sweets and having a diet rich in leafy veggies, grains, legumes and nuts is the way to go. If anyone has great recipes to share or sites to visit, this would be very much appreciated. I just started chemo and waoh! this is quite miserable...

    Hi Gazelle

    Yes, please follow your nurse advice. It is easy for your stomach to digest cooked fruits and vegetables. I think if you peal aples, pear, it will be fine. Oranges and lemons could atribute additional acidity to your stamack and they are not recommended during Chemo
