What a great feeling to know that you will no longer be attached to that wicked machine! And you won't ever again! Believe and stay positive!0 -
Great news!
Glad things went well! I may reconsider keeping my port in for a year as recommended by my ONC. My maintainance Port Flush went quite badly last time ( I ended up in the ER ) and I am not sure I want to go through the problems again.
I finished Chem 5 months ago and am finishing up my follow up testing. How long did you keep your port in after finishing chemo?
So Happy for you!
Take Care,

Congrats, may you never need
Congrats, may you never need one again. It is nice to not have to stare at that thing anymore isn't it and to be able to wear normal shirts again.0 -

I can not wait for my port to be removed. Probably about 3-4 months aways still. I was curious how easy it was.
Good for YOU!!!!!!

Getting your port removed is cause for celebration! I was ecstatic when mine was taken out. It is as if they are saying that they don't think you need it anymore!
Congrats to you!
