Kate....I found this on the Inspire board and thought I would cut-and-paste it for you. The thread waa about Doxil, and this is what one person had to say (other responses were good, too).
I'm on Doxil and I had CT scan after the 4th treatment and it showed no measureable signs of cancer which was a miracle because my dr never thought it would happen. I had been taking a few other types of chemo since last Jan. and nothing worked. I will have my 8th treatment on 3-11 then my CT in April and hopefully it will still be working. I've had a lot fewer side affects with Doxil than I have anything else and I work full time 45-55 hours a week.0 -

Good for you, Kate!
I plan to live til the day I die. Not just breathe until I stop breathing, but really live. Go to Disney. Disney abounds with life.

I love this weenie warrior women and have to laugh every time I read it. I have canceled my 2 night stay but will go for the day on Tuesday with friend and sister. I will even get to have lunch at the Canadian place in EPCOT which is nearly impossible to get into so really looking forward to that. I hope the flowers are out for the show.

Hi Kate,
I've been away for a while and have been living with stage iv ovca for 4 years now.
I must say this is my 3rd time in remission (at present a little over 6-months now) stage is hard to get rid of. :-)
Nevertheless; the pain accompanies a belly that begins to swell; before I had my hysterectomy I appeared to be 9-months pregnant. It was very painful, achey, difficult to move. Once I had the surgery and began my chemo the acites was taken care of.
I have not had this symptom now since my surgery and I hope all goes well with your treatment.
