Loss for words
First write that on your calendars. I'm never at a loss for something to say, even if it's wildly sarcastic and inappropriate. But if I got a laugh it was worth it.
I know a few people have been following me (stalkers! yaaaay!) and anyone who has knows two things: 1)I share everything no holds barred and 2)I'm very sarcastic by nature.
So now I've come to a crossroads and I'm not sure what to do.
There is so much going on that I want to share because darn it I keep getting material. But at the same time, I want to be respectful of those that may think I've crossed an invisible line. Not everyone would think that what I have to share at this point would be of any help or use, or not be depressing, or be too painful.
So I guess I am asking permission from everyone here, because all of you have been so wonderful and thoughtful and there, if I can post what's on my mind and heart. If everyone feels that it's not okay, I understand. But you know me. I'm not depressing, and the silver lining is always in there somewhere. I start Optimists Anonymous this week so no worries. I'm also a smart arse.
But I wanted to ask first. I'm getting waaaay too much material right now. My my my my my.

Post away! We're tough old birds here. We can take it. Kidding aside, I think everyone here understands the need for humor, venting, and yes even sarcasm. Each of us deals with the loss of a loved one in our own way. Although we will never be the same, we also don't change completely. We bring our personalities with us. Anyone who doesn't like your brand of humor will quickly learn to skip your comments. Me? I like reading your thoughts. Welcome to the board none of us ever wanted to join. We're here to help each other. Fay0 -
I'm with Fay, post away
I'm with Fay, post away (wow, that rhymed - sorry).
April, I too love your sense of humor. And in our house, Mike and I were always smart a__es; it was sorta like a competition at times I swear. I am still a smart a__ at Ski Patrol, although I must admit (but I would have never have done so to Mike) that Mike was much, much quicker and better than I. I hope he isn't reading over my shoulder as I type this.
If it were not for humor, I don't think Mike and I could have made it through this journey, and I know it would be infinitely more difficult to go down this new path of healing. I say go for it and let the laughter commence! Thanks.

No problems here
Everything you've ever posted has been like me reading my own mail, anyway. You have a natural talent for cutting through the BS and getting to the heart of the matter. I say post away!

No way
April, OOps, goofed and hit the wrong button. Sorry.
Hey, you at a loss for words??? No way!!!!!! You have always been great with your sense of humor even going through the rough times with Patrick.
Maybe you feel like your at a loss for words cause you now have time to relax. The days of your being a caregiver are over now and I'm sure that's why you're feeling this way. Try and take things slow and just adjust to your new life. It's a place where none of us have wanted to be, but we don't have a choice and have to go on.
Just don't lose your sense of humor, sarcasim or anything. We love ya the way you are!
Keep laughing and we'll laugh with you. Take care! Carole0
