Oh My Gosh!!!!
Today I went to San Jose, and coming back from there at the Summit on 17, it was SNOWING!!!!
I got out and took pictures of the snow coming down (There were a few hundred of us doing this in various areas of the Summit)darn flakes didn't show up on my camera phone, and it wasn't sticking to the ground. But it was honest to goodness snow!!!
I also then reflected that perhaps I've lived here a bit too long if I'm excited over snowflakes!!!
Thought I'd just share the excitement of the year!!!
LOL.

Too much snow
We are in Reno and just had FOUR days of snow fall ! I don’t like it at all. lol The good news is today it warmed up a little and it is melting!!! Not like in December when it hangs around for weeks at a time.0 -
Uhmmm
Pretty much the reaction I thought I was going to get. ROFLMAO!!!!
I was so like a little kid, sticking my tongue out to catch a flake, I took about 10 pictures and it just shows sky and trees, not a flake showed up, I was so disappointed!!
I wanted to post it on my facebook!!!
Um, I just assumed the mid-west and east were getting our sunshine and we were getting your snow.

Hey Marie, You're excitement
Hey Marie, You're excitement over a few snowflakes made me laugh. I'll tell you what - if you send me some warm weather, I'll send you a box of snow. We have plenty, and we're getting 8" again tomorrow, so I can share. :-) I think this will push us over the 100" mark for the year so far. I NEED SPRING!! :-) Have a good night dear, Cyn0 -

I live in Virginia....we get some snow every year, but probably more ice. Sometimes it can be an actual blizzard that shuts us in for days. We came here from Indiana for my husbands government job. No family here. We actually lived through much worse winters in Indiana, where my husbands family has lived since 1832. My mother-in-law is 92 years old and just recently stopped shoveling snow after she tripped over a snow shovel and injured herself pretty badly!
I do know people who move to cold snowy places bacause they love it! ( Not me!! ) We have hot, humid summers here....Almost worse than the cold weather!
Last year there was several feet of snow from a huge storm that hit while I was having my sigmoid colectomy. My husband got stuck sleeping in a chair at the hospital because he couldn't get home for several days. I got sick of hearing the snowplows in the hospital parking lots that ran 24 hours per day trying to keep things opened!
We have had 70 degree weather a few days ago and might get snow again this week! No fun!!
Hope you are having a nice warm day!
Take Care,
Barb0 -

I was born about 30 miles from where I currently live (just outside Toronto). We do have have family ties + I also really like having 4 seasons. Even though we have snow in the winter, many winter days are sunny + bright. We really enjoy our warm weather + make the most of it. It is what you get used to I guess. We don't usually have to shovel day after day. Many Canadians from this area do go to Florida for the winter once they are retired.0 -

Hey Buzz, Well, my ancestors arrived on this continent shortly after the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock, so I guess you can say that living in the North East is "in my blood". ;-) Not to mention that it is simply beautiful here at least 6 months out of the year! (so I shouldn't whine too much during the winter I suppose). One benefit of living in NH is that it's only an hour drive north to the White Mountains or an hour east to the ocean - what could be better! :-) --- My avatar shows the current state of my front yard - it's pretty - but thank goodness it's melting! I'm ready for Spring now. :-)0 -

I know this is a hard time with all the snow you get. Remember the beauty of your neck of the woods as the weather warms.0 -
