That's because of chemo?, it's been always the same for you while on chemo or is just since you restarted it? well ...hope you can eat something more appetizing very soon!.
Hugs!.
Eating has NEVER been a problem for me ... as you can probably tell from my pictures. I have always had a healthy appetite and cancer/chemo has never ever interferred nor have I ever lost weight because of it (if anything, gaining is not a problem even though I don't want to).
It's just been since starting this new (to me) chemo - Irinotecan. It is EVIL EVIL EVIL!! It is as bad as a strong dose of Oxypilatin, except without the cold sensitivity or neuropathy problems. It made me sooooo nauseas and then completely twisted my intestines inside out and into knots that anything I put in my mouth would instantly turn into explosive slush. Pain like you wouldn't believe, to the point I couldn't eat and of course lost my appetite. But of course, you have to get some kind of fuel... so was on a purely bland "white" diet. Rice and white toast was about all I could handle... for 11 days straight!
I think I may have accomplished the impossible... I think I may have actually lost a bunch of weight this past 11 days
Today, around 3pm, it was like a switch was turned.... I immediately felt GREAT!! No pain, no feeling like my intestines were in knots, no spasms, no cramping, no nausea. I was back to being myself.... it's now almost 7pm.... 4 hours of pure bliss and no pain. I'm sooooo happy
But now... to get back on topic.... the weekend.... did I mention I have tickets to go see a fantastic male accapella group (Straight No Chaser) on Sunday night? I have excellent seats... 6th row, in the centre, on an aisle. For those of you who may not have heard of his group, check them out here:

Have a wonderful time at the concert. I bought one of their Christmas Albums as a gift for a friend several years ago, but kept it for myself! They are so good! ( I might be biased as they were originally formed as an Indiana University singing group....My husband and I met at and graduated from Indiana University )
Glad you are feeling better and able to get out!
Have a great week!
Take Care,

Very interesting! I knew that you love ships and boats! ( My son who knows nothing about ships is learning to be a US Coast Guard Ship Inspector. He inspects mostly passenger ships at this time. I have suddenly beome much more interested in ships as my son was sent for training on The US Coast Guard Eagle...a Tall Ship and he was also sent out on a huge commercial container ship for a trip to Alaska, Japan, Korea and China! )
Do you get out on the water yourself?? I have never been much for boating!
Have a fun weekend!
Take Care,
Barb
You mean if I use to sail?, yes of course but less every day!.
Your son's trip must be a real experience ,interesting places!

fixing back fence where the dogs escape with kids and diarrhea
after some good naturopathy posts here i have three appointments in next 6 days.
trying to fight diarrhea a little more naturally with digestive enzymes, anti diarrhea drops.
so far so good, my numb feet feel so strange to walk on, but i swear the tingling seemed to go away after a good hours walk. slept alot today, been wiped out.
did spend a few hours patching up our back fence this afternoon where my clever and adventurous dogs love to escape.
we back on to the bay and my dogs love freedom.
i hope everyone has a lovelly weekend.

last day to ski on Friday
Will go in on Wed for a lookse on the cecum. Showed a small mass which is strange since my CEA is 2.5. Surgeon said 2-4 weeks recovery depending on what he has to do. So we tore up the slopes and now my muscles are so sore but worth it! I am considering the season complete unless the recovery goes quick and then I can ski the last couple weeks of the season!0 -

Buzz,
Our boat is being worked on right now. We got a pretty good ding in it. It's kinda good since no one wants to do house work when it's nice and the boats in the water. Needless to say, the laundry is done and the house looks good.
Hope your boat is ready to go.
Aloha,

Tara how Lucky you are .Eric Clapton!taraHK said:Clapton!
It was supposed to be a chemo weekend for me but I had a schedule change a couple of weeks ago -- so I got to use my tickets to see ERIC CLAPTON LIVE! It was wonderful. I danced in the aisle.....Can I say I danced with Eric Clapton?!?!
Tara
Just a myth .....and danced close to him! Great!0 -
Taking a Big Risk
Thought I might try and "Live" for a few hours today.
Scrubbed off the patio and picked up the backyard - gonna' fire up the grill and watch the Great American Race, the Daytona 500.
Weather is calm and overcast here in Texas, about 65 degrees, so sitting outside watching the race on tv will be a nice change for me - gotta' break out of those 4 walls, you know.
Everyone have a great w/end.
Go 88, Dale Jr!
